Aquascape Signature Series BioFalls Filters
The Aquascape Signature Series BioFalls Pond Filter & Waterfall provides beauty and function. It creates a perfectly uniform sheet of flowing water, and it provides biological and mechanical filtration.
The Biofalls include 2-3 filter pads (depending on model) and a mesh bag for loose filter media (not included) such as bioballs. As water rises through the filter media, loose debris becomes trapped in the media, and the water flows out the waterfall. Beneficial bacteria colonize on the filter media and out-compete algae for the pond's excess nutrients. The result is clearer pond water.
These filter tanks also feature a reversible waterfall lip for more options when designing your waterfall. The waterfall lip can be attached facing outward or facing inward. An inward facing waterfall spillway lip can allow for the addition of a natural stone spillway, if desired.
Another feature for the 2500 - 6000 models is the included Rock Tray. This tray can hold plants and gravel to help naturalize the filter into the landscape. Please Note: The Signature Series 1000 BioFalls lists the Rock Tray as an option (purchased separately).
