The Aquascape Pond Aerator Kits feature a pond aerator pump with strong exterior housing and a wide, flat base. An internal rubber gasket and external rubber feet reduce pump noise and vibration. The premium 3/16" black silicone air line remains flexible and resists algae formation in the line, unlike clear air lines. The system's diaphragm and assembly cartridge are replaceable. The manufacturer recommends the pump be protected from airborne dust and debris. 

Every pond process depends on oxygen. With water's dissolved oxygen levels in constant fluctuation, having a pond oxygenator is important all year. In summer, an aerator adds oxygen and helps to circulate water. In winter, the aerator helps keep a small hole in surface ice, especially when the air discs are located near a floating de-icer, allowing toxic gases to escape.
