The Danner 1000 Pond and Waterfall Biofilter with Bioballs produces the beauty and soothing sounds of a waterfall, and its biological filtration boosts pond water clarity and quality. Besides trapping debris, the filter media provides a home for beneficial bacteria. Beneficial bacteria feed on the same nutrients that feed algae, and they outcompete algae, resulting in clear pond water.
Under normal usage, this pond and waterfall filter box needs to be cleaned only once per year. The Waterfall Biofilter measures: 9" wide x 12" deep x 6.5" tall. The waterfall spillway width is 9". This filter box includes a multi-step adapter fitting, as well as 50 Bio-Balls. Maximum pump flow rate is approximately 950 gph, suited for ponds up to 1,000 gallons.
