If your pond has predators looking for an easy fish dinner, then it may be time to invest in a "guard gator." This realistic floating decoy is an effective way to protect your koi and goldfish from unwanted visitors. Because alligators are top predators, other predators such as blue herons would rather hunt elsewhere than compete with the reptiles.
Made of durable urethane foam, each alligator head decoy is carefully hand painted with a UV resistant paint and features reflective eyes for a very realistic effect. There is an option to let the decoy float freely, or tether it in place.
Available Size:
28" Long x 9" Wide - has exposed top teeth.
Tips:
As with all decoys, periodically move the alligator decoy around the pond to provide the illusion it is real.
Northern ducks such as mallards and wood ducks tend to have no experience with alligators so do not instinctively fear them. The success of these decoys with those ducks has been limited.

I used it for a prank! It works extremely well.
I thought it would be fun to take an alligator decoy and attach it to a remote controlled boat.Check it out. [...]

Decoy Alligator
These fake alligators worked fantastic to scare Herons from my Koi pond. Worked on Egrets as well. Would highly recommend this product

These things are great looking.
I bought these to put one in my pond and the other to put in our display pool at the shop.Everyone that has seen them have been amazed by them. I'm sure you sell a few more to them. The painting on these are incredibly detailed way beyond what I was expecting to show up.

so far so good
They have been in our river for two weeks, and no Canadian geese ....yet. The blue heron and ducks are not afraid of them.I had to go to Cabelas and pick up a 6 pack of weights for them ($38), so it would be nice to have them included. Also the eye hook for the weight attach is small so I had to use some old key rings to attach the weights.

Excellent decoy
These Alligator head decoys will make you stop and wait for an alligator to crawl out of your pond. Amazingly real.

AWESOME
These are very good design items. Look very real. At the present time we have them floating in our pool. The grand kids took them out, they say its a little creepy swimming with gators.

look good in the water
We buy a few new ones every year. These last longer than some. There used to be one with a baby on its head, it looked real. But the review from the wife who bought it for her husband to put a remote control in it might be on to something. I would buy those. The remote would have to be able to work from 75' away. What a GREAT idea.

This looks just like the real thing!
I was really amazed when I unpacked these. The quality and detail is fantastic. I have been having problems with a heron taking my koi. I have not seen the heron since I put one of these in my pond so let's hope this does the trick for good.

Ma! There be Gators in the Pool!!!
These gator heads are awesome!!I got these to put in our pool for a Halloween party that had a swamp theme. So for my use they were MORE than adequate. The look VERY real! So much so that my Labrador (who loves to get in the pool) won't go within six feet of the edge when Ma and Pa gator are swimming. Several of our party guests who own property with ponds actually plan on picking up a few just for the novelty! They are made in the USA and built to last. They seem to be molded and hand sculpted out of a very strong and buoyant foam material. The eyes do "glow" (reflect) a reddish tint when hit by flashlight at night. No worries here.. GREAT product!! Order with confidence.
