If your pond has predators looking for an easy fish dinner, then it may be time to invest in a "guard gator." This realistic floating decoy is an effective way to protect your koi and goldfish from unwanted visitors. Because alligators are top predators, other predators such as blue herons would rather hunt elsewhere than compete with the reptiles.
Made of durable urethane foam, each alligator head decoy is carefully hand painted with a UV resistant paint and features reflective eyes for a very realistic effect. There is an option to let the decoy float freely, or tether it in place.
Available Size:
28" Long x 9" Wide - has exposed top teeth.
Tips:
As with all decoys, periodically move the alligator decoy around the pond to provide the illusion it is real.
Northern ducks such as mallards and wood ducks tend to have no experience with alligators so do not instinctively fear them. The success of these decoys with those ducks has been limited.

Alligator Heads Look Authentic but Do Not Scare Away the Geese!
The two alligator heads look very realistic. Unfortunately, they did not fool our Canadian geese. The geese kept their distance for about a day and then resumed swimming around the pond and walking on the land as if everything was normal.

Keeps the geese away!!
These are a couple of the best things we have ever bought. We have a pond that geese used to frequent all the time. They would leave huge messes for us to step in. We decided to try these out to see if it would scare them away. To our pleasant surprise, it actually worked! Now they just fly right on by our pond and land in the neighbors. They are very realistic looking so I can't say I really blame them. Thanks for keeping the geese at bay!

Look great, super cool!
Gave these to my Dad to put out in front of his house. They look fantastic, he gets tons of compliments. If placing in the lake though, you may want to make some modifications to the mounting to make it a little stronger. Waves took the first one away. If you are putting these in a pond or something, that won't be an issue. Super cool!

Good so far....
Good value. Delivery was quick.I haven't seen the heron get scared off yet by the alligator but all the fish seem to still be there. I have also put fishing line around the pond and the scarecrow sprinkler so a lot to keep away this pesky bird.

These saved our fish!!!
FANTASTIC product!!! We had a Great Blue Heron visiting every day and eating our fish. He wasn't afraid of anything. We put these alligator heads out - and never saw him again. They are perfect because they are so lightweight that the slightest breeze makes them move so realistically.

Aligators look Great!
I purchased these alligator heads specifically to deter a Blue Heron and raccoons that visit my koi pond. I can say the workmanship and realistic looking appearance are great however they do nothing to scare off the heron and raccoons. I have multiple video clips of the heron in the pond fishing just inches away from the alligators. At this point I left them in the pond as decorations because they make a great conversation topic every time friends come over.

husband loves them
My husband loves these, but be aware that they are made out of Styrofoam. If you aren't careful, you will ding it and knock one of the little knobbies off.
