Versitile and Sturdy
After receiving multiple quotes for over $1,000 each to create a metal grate insert for an opening in my deck over the basement window well, I went with this product, and after about an hour with a saw and a Dremel, it fits perfectly. Saved me $900! Good quality and very well made.

Good product
Used to make a bubbling rock fountain put a 300-300 lb. rock on and it is holding up well.

Sturdy as heck!
Before I placed my vase water fountain atop, I decided to test if this basin grate was truly sturdy. I placed it on my driveway, then I stood on it in hiking boots. I jumped on it in place. Then I jumped on it from a height of 3 feet. Then I asked my husband to jump on it, several times. This basin grate is sturdy and it may well survive in my backyard beyond my husband’s and my lifetime, the next owners’, and the next owners’. This thing is awesome. After my gardener installs this basin grate, and I also set up the fountain, I will update with a photo.

Fountain Basin Grate
OK, so...Sturdiness-OK, Easy to Install-OK, Warmth. REALLY, Warmth? It's a drainage grate. How in the F could warmth be a descriptive adjective for a drainage grate? A space heater maybe, but a drainage grate??? Anyway I give 5 stars but you really should evaluate your questions.

Strong, even after cutting in hiles
Exactly what I needed! Strong grate that holds a concrete waterfall feature

Very sturdy grate yet easy to trim to size
I used this as grate for a bubbling water feature. The grate is sturdy with minimal support - just three stacks of bricks and it is holding a water feature weighing over 100 pounds. Rounded off the corners to fit an oval basin and there is enough internal webbing to maintain the strength and structural integrity needed to bear the weight.

A non-pond use
I used two Heavy Duty Fountain Base Grates to raise the floor in a tiled shower. A family member has a beautiful tiled shower with a 2 1/2" high threshold to step over. He is temporarily confined to a wheelchair and I needed to make the shower accessible without damaging the structure or tiles. I bought a folding aluminum ramp to bridge the 2 1/2 inches from the bathroom floor to the top of the shower thresh hold. Inside I placed these two grates on the shower floor making it level with the thresh hold. It works very well. The grates are very sturdy. They are made to get wet, water drains nicely through the top, and the chair wheels roll easily over the top grid. I had to trim 6" from each grate but it cut easily on a table saw with a standard wood blade.

Well buit and perfect for my pond project
My previous grate was steel and totally disintegrated after three years. This is a lot more sturdy and should last forever
