This nearly universal fountain head is an excellent way to build your own large fountain. The included nozzle is a Rocket Nozzle that produces an impressive jet of water straight up, as seen in the images. This fountain head is built into a 24" wide float, allowing your fountain to be placed in various water depths; anywhere from approx. 3 ft. deep to even the deepest ponds or lakes.
This fountain head can connect to external pumps, submersible pumps, and even an irrigation system! The fountain float includes 2 stainless steel eye hooks connected to the bottom of the float to tether the float if a submersible pump is used (rope tethers not included).
Please Note:
Use your own pump or choose one of ours! Pump should be rated at a minimum of 3,500 gph up to 10,000 gph+ flow rate.
Alternative nozzles may be purchased here.
Spray pattern and height will vary depending on the power of the pump used.
Refer to the table below to determine approximate spray pattern and height.
FOUNTAIN PERFORMANCE CHART | ROCKET NOZZLE | ||
---|---|---|---|
Spray Pattern | 12'H x 3'W | 14'H x 3'W | 16'H x 3'W |
Pump GPH | 3500 | 3700 | 4000 |
Feet of Head | 16' | 20' | 23' |
Helpful Hints on Pump Selection:
If a smaller pump (3500-5000 GPH) is used, a direct drive pump with a maximum head height of ideally over 20 ft should be selected and the pump should be attached directly beneath the float. Larger pumps should also be attached directly beneath the float for best performance. Larger pumps can also be connected to the float by a short (3-10 ft) run of 2" ID or larger piping, but keep in mind this will result in reduced water flow at the nozzle. So, increasing the distance between the pump and your fountain, the use of smaller than 2" ID hose, elbows, check valves, etc., will all result in a reduced flow of water at the nozzle. Best Advice: Keep the distance between your pump and the Floating Fountain Head as short as possible with minimal fittings for the best Fountain Display!
