The Custom Pro 3000 Pond and Waterfall Biofilter with Filter Mat & Bioballs produces the beauty and soothing sounds of a waterfall, and its biological filtration improves pond water clarity and quality.
Besides trapping debris, the filter media provides a home for beneficial bacteria. Beneficial bacteria feed on the same nutrients that feed algae, and they outcompete algae, resulting in clear pond water.
Under normal usage, this pond and waterfall filter box needs to be cleaned only once per year, more frequent cleanings will be needed if the pond is stocked with koi.
The biofilter measurements are: 18" wide x 16" deep x 13" tall. The waterfall spillway width is 16". The filter box has a 2" bulkhead fitting and a barb hose adapter is included that will accept 1.5" or 2" ID hose. A steel clamp is also included.
