The Aquascape Pond Aerator Kits feature a pond aerator pump with strong exterior housing and a wide, flat base. An internal rubber gasket and external rubber feet reduce pump noise and vibration. The premium 3/16" black silicone air line remains flexible and resists algae formation in the line, unlike clear air lines. The system's diaphragm and assembly cartridge are replaceable. The manufacturer recommends the pump be protected from airborne dust and debris.
Every pond process depends on oxygen. With water's dissolved oxygen levels in constant fluctuation, having a pond oxygenator is important all year. In summer, an aerator adds oxygen and helps to circulate water. In winter, the aerator helps keep a small hole in surface ice, especially when the air discs are located near a floating de-icer, allowing toxic gases to escape.

Great air movement
Great air movement and airation. Pump is a little on the loud side but results are worth it.

Missing Part
I am giving this a 5 star review because this is the second one of these I have purchased. The first one works great and I am happy enough that I purchased a second one. However, this time I only received one extra airstone, not two. I know mistakes happen, so I am hoping that they will see this and correct the mistake. I don't have time to sit on the phone calling, and their 'automated' chat sucks! You are supposed to pick a product you purchased, and it doesn't even show the product.

Great product.
Great product already had aerator with 2 stones. Works great needed a little more aeration to help control algae. Store my pumps in a weather tight sockitbox so it lasts longer. A little loud at first start up but I hardly notice it now.

Strongly Recommended
The fish and the plants are very happy. I thought it only adds oxygen to the water but surprisingly it makes the water clearer. This aerator can handle 4' deep. Four heads help if you have a large pond. I'm very happy with it.

It is helping with my algae problem
I had the algae balls forming on the liner of my pond. I added this aerator to my 3000 gal pond. Within a few days, I started to notice the algae turn to not so fluffy. After 6 weeks, the algae has really lessened. I'm adding plants as recommended by some pond sites. My pond is crystal clear. I like this unit so far (2 months). I have not heard other units, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Destroy Algae
I bought originally the two piece aerator but still was getting a lot of algae in my backyard pond; so decided to increase the aeration and boy I am glad I did this has help tremendously to get rid of my algae problems. My koi are happy too.
