Simply put, AquaOne prevents or eliminates the most common water quality problems associated with ponds and aquariums. AquaOne All Season Pond Clarifier is a concentrated liquid that improves water clarity and reduces sludge formation. Containing beneficial bacteria that are safe for fish and other pond life, this treatment is probably the most powerful and complex beneficial bacterial product on the market.
There are many sources of nutrients that can cause problems, such as fish waste, plant and grass debris, litter, clippings, and excess fish food. Even fish themselves emit ammonia. The microbes in AquaOne use nitrogen and phosphorus as a source of nutrition. They also consume sludge or biomass from the pond. AquaOne is a blend of water, nutrients, and Alpha BioSystems' proprietary blend of microbes that are safe, natural strains that are uniquely suited to your environment and application.
AquaOne is completely safe for fish, pets, wildlife, and pond life. It is classified as a microbial product in Biolevel 1, which means that of course you should not drink it. Just pour the correct dosage into the pond and let it go to work.
Application rate?
Add 1 Capful for every 250 gallons of pond water or Six ounces per 1,000 gallons of water on a weekly schedule. Once the desired water quality is achieved, then maintenance doses can be reduced. Aqua One is very safe so you don't have to worry about over treating.
How long does it take to work?
Aqua-One starts to work immediately once it's in the pond. Visible results however can take as long as 2 to 5 weeks depending on the problems and the amount of nutrients in the water. To speed the process up, you should remove as much decaying organic material from the pond as possible. (leaves, grass clippings, etc.) Having too many fish for your pond size and/or feeding them too much or too often will also increase the time it takes to see results. Resist the urge to clean the biological portion of your filter, this only removes the good, beneficial bacteria (Aqua-One) and delays the "clean-up" process. You should use Aqua-One all year long. even in the fall and winter to consume sludge and minimize spring cleaning. Even though the microbes work more slowly in cold water, we have many customers who swear by year-around treating.
Helpful Hint: If you use a UV sterilizer, it should be turned off for at least 24 hours when adding Aqua-One.
